Battery charger minimizes and cut downtime risk and cost in critical applications including electric utility, oil and gas and process control. Separate identical 100% duty charger having boost & float facilities shall be offered for each battery. Each charger unit shall be suitable for supplying the initial charging requirements, boost charging the battery subsequent to an emergency discharge and supplying the maximum load whilst on float. The chargers shall be provided with natural ventilation and shall be housed in a separate cubicle which shall at least be of protection class IP 41.
